An evaluation team from Grinaker – Lta including Contracts managers visited all brick suppliers prior to placing of orders. This was done to guage quality, capacity and “green” properties of the manufacturing process. Claytile (Clay Masonry Distributors) secured the order on the basis of meeting all criteria and being able to guarantee supply during traditional wet winters where most other plaster brick manufacturers use older clamp operations and are therefore unable to dry product prior to firing. This has led to brick shortages in the latter part of the winter season. Our new manufacturing facility is totally unaffected by inclement weather and produces in excess of 6 million units every month of the year.
